12. Counselling of the students was undertaken by the senior teachers of the college regarding preparations for Semester examinations.
13. Campus maintenance Committee:-
A separate committee is formed to look after campus maintenance and create awareness of decency, decorum and discipline in the campus. Activities like Gardening, tree plantation, white washing etc., were undertaken by Student volunteers
14. Inauguration of Canteen:- Regular canteen facilities were made available in the new canteen building to provide wholesome food and tiffin to the students.
15. Development of Infrastructure: Water purifier system was installed to provide clean drinking water in canteen. Proposals were submitted to UGC for a modern library building, Gymkhana and ladies hostel.
16. Induction and Remedial courses:-
Induction and Remedial course, were conducted for fresh entrants to degree classes in the month of Aug-06 to improve their English language and communication skills.
17. Additional library facilities:-
As a part of the policy to encourage rank and distinction students, additional text books were provided to these students. This facility is offered apart from regular TBL (Text Book Library) facility provided to meritorious and poor students. Students who participate in competitive examinations, Quiz, Debate and Essay writing competition etc., are also extended books facility for preparation of these competitions.
18. Project Genesis:- Joint venture of college with Infosys (BPO) and vidya Poshak (NGO) continued this year also. 68 students participated in the training out of which 36 were selected to get Job opportunities in Infosys and Deutsche Bank .
